About This Website

The Behavioural Supports Ontario (BSO) provincial portal and regional mini-sites link users to information about behavioural change and available provincial and regional programs and services.

The website is the resulting collaboration between the Ontario Association of Community Care Access Centres (OACCAC), regional Community Care Access Centres (CCACs), Information Network and Ontario’s Local Health Integration Network’s (LHIN) designated BSO lead organizations.

The LHIN designated BSO lead organizations develop and maintain the content on the BSO mini-sites.

Each CCAC is responsible for maintaining a regional database of services within its respective LHIN. The 14 regional databases are integrated into a single provincial database and made available publically through platform to support the delivery of information and referral services across Ontario.

The Ontario Association of Community Care Access Centres provides funding for the development and maintenance of the BSO provincial portal and regional mini-site platform. Information Network provides ongoing support of content administration for the portal, operations, training, and support of LHIN designated BSO leads to administer content on regional mini-sites.

Providing people with high-quality information and referral services is a critical component of a health system that delivers the best care possible. Through information and referral activities, CCACs provide information to people, their caregivers and other health system partners about health and community services – electronically, on the telephone, and/or in person. They also make referrals to a variety of community supports, health care and other services. View details on CCAC Information and Referral
