Description of Services:
  • Operates a 37-bed level C hospital with acute care and specialty care beds
  • Provides 24-hour a day coverage by on-site or on-call physicians, advanced technological and diagnostic capabilities, and additional specialty services
    • Offers the following programs
    • Cancer care
    • Cardiac care
    • Diabetes Education
    • Diagnostic services
    • Lab services
    • Long Term Care
    • Meals on Wheels
    • Medical Day Program
    • Respite Care
    • Rehabilitative services
    Emergency Room
    • Provides immediate care for emergency situations - including serious or life-threatening illnesses or injuries
    Palliative Care
    • Provides emotional and spiritual support along with pain and symptom management
    • Individuals in the end stages of terminal illness and to their friends and families
    Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) - North Network
    • Provides access to specialized medical care using video conferencing and other tele-diagnostic equipment
    • Allows specialists to remotely examine and prescribe treatments to patients in their home communities
    • Reduces the need to travel to receive medical care
