Description of Services: Manages a treatment centre for youth struggling with problematic alcohol and substance use issues
  • Provides a residential facility for up to 8 youth
  • Offers a 3-month treatment program for youth who are dependent on substances and have behavioural problems
  • Provides support to families, parents and communities during intake and aftercare
Offers the following holistic healing services:
  • Clinical treatment and counselling during addictions recovery
  • Coping and life skills teachings
  • Counselling for emotional and behavioural issues
  • Cultural land-based activities
  • Survival skills and ancient lifestyle perspectives from traditional instructors and Elders
Treatment provided for:
  • Problematic alcohol use
  • Problematic substance use
  • Solvents/gas/inhalants

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Male and female youth aged 12-15 years with addictions issues from any Nishnawbe-Aski Nation (NAN) community
Application: Requires submission of completed application available at any Band Office
