Program: Rapid Response System Navigation

Organization: Alpha Court Community Mental Health and Addiction Services
Description of Services:
  • Provides short-term, immediate support to individuals with mental health and/or addiction issues
  • Offers support up to 6 months, but will refer individuals to longer-term support services if needed
  • Supports services can include:
    • Advocacy
    • Assistance in obtaining housing
    • Assistance with community involvement/participation
    • Help with applying for Ontario Works or ODSP
    • Education around diagnosis, symptom management
    • Referrals to community agencies when appropriate
    • Short-term case management

    Fees: None
    Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Individuals 16 years of age and older who need immediate, short-term support due to a mental health and/or substance use issue

    Issues may include:

    • Acute mental health issues (suicidal ideation/attempts)

    • Homelessness

    • Severe addictions

    • Recent hospital admissions into the Adult Mental Health program

    • Discharge from a corrections facility

    • Conflict with the law
