Operates a full service 30-bed acute care facility

• Offers 3 intensive care beds, 2 labour and delivery rooms, and 25 medical and surgical beds
• Houses a surgical unit which includes a fully integrated operating room, day surgery, post anaesthesia, a recovery room, a pre admission clinic, endoscopy and cardiac stress testing
• Provides a 24 hour emergency department
• Offers services of a visiting orthopaedic surgeon on a monthly basis for total knee arthroplasty
• Offers services of various visiting specialists such as oncologists, pediatricians and geriatricians

Northern Ontario Remote Telecommunication Health (NORTH) Network

• Provides services of medical specialists to patients, family members and rural physicians via teleconferencing
• Provides support and advice to physicians for patient diagnoses and continuing care
• Provides access to professional health education
