  • ?Offers community-based consultation and treatment for individuals who are experiencing a first episode of psychosis
  • Facilitates early identification of psychosis and optimal treatment interventions
  • Encourages active family/significant other participation in the treatment process
  • Provides education, support and advocacy to family members and the community
  • Implements an interdisciplinary team approach in all aspects of care, including psychiatry, nursing, social work, psychology, and psychosocial rehabilitation

    Eligibility - Population(s) Served:
    • Individuals between 14-35 years of age who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis

    • Individuals who have received either no treatment for psychosis or have received treatment for psychosis within the last 12 months only

    • Individuals who are willing and able to access community based treatment services for psychosis

    • Individuals who do not have an organic brain disorder or impairment

    • Eligibility for individuals who fall outside the 14-35 age range will be assessed on a case-by-case basis
    Application:
    • Professional referral sources such as physicians and/or mental health workers must complete a referral package

    • Self and family referrals are also accepted for screening by phone
