Description of Services:
  • ?Operate a voluntary, administrative court procedure for individuals who are involved in the court system as a result of a mental health crisis
  • Provides consultation to the Crown
  • Supports and encourages the client's growth by creating a community based diversion plan
  • works directly with individuals and links them to mental health services in the community
  • Diversion plans normally last for six months and when successfully completed, can result in a withdrawal of the original charges

    Eligibility - Population(s) Served:
    • Individuals 12 years of age and older

    • Individuals with a low to medium criminal offence whose mental health needs can be better met through services based in the community

    • Individuals must be willing to engage in the diversion agreement

    • Referrals can come from a variety of sources
