  • Provides education, programs and workshops to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent illness
  • Endeavors to improve working relationships between health care systems and Indigenous communities
  • Provides education to raise awareness of health issues affecting Indigenous people
  • Ensures that Indigenous individuals understand the present health care system
  • Provides education in an effort to reduce violence within Indigenous communities

    • Offers presentations on health related topics
    • Teaches various Native craft-making through workshops
    Healthy Lifestyles
    • Holds group meetings once a week to discuss health issues with a focus on diet and exercise
    • Provides information sessions on disease prevention

    Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Focus is for Indigenous women who are pregnant, new mothers or with infants under 12 months of age but open to anyone in need of services
