Eligibility / Target Population

Members of Anishinaabeg of Naongashiing First Nation who are residents of the community and do not own their own vehicle
Clients requesting local medical transportation must return the same day except in case of hospitalization

Description of Services:

Delivers medical transportation services and assistance in making medical appointment arrangements

Provides transportation from/to Big Island to any medical appointments (doctor, dentist, optometrist, specialist) in the towns of Emo, Fort Frances and Rainy River
Provides assistance with completing prior approval applications for long distance medical appointments
Provides assistance with making arrangements for any medical appointments out of town such as booking appointments, hotels, and completing applications for mileage compensation

NOTE: Transportation will only be provided during regular business hours; after hours emergencies will be provided by ambulance services
