Description of Services:
  • Assists elders and/or families that have members with disabilities in their residence with routine household activities such as light housekeeping, laundry, shopping, meal preparation and personal care through homemakers
  • Provides household support for heavy and seasonal housecleaning
  • Provides home support worker assistance with heavy outdoor work during the winter months such as shovelling and firewood
  • Acts as respite for caregivers
  • Provides short-term loan of mobility aids such as walkers and raised toilet seats based on availability of items

    Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Members of Northwest Angle #33 First Nation requiring assistance at home due to age or family members with disabilities are living in the home

    • Initial intake assessment required

    • Home visits require prior arrangements
