Description of Services:
  • Provides a monthly bag of healthy groceries for participants
  • Provides items that reflect seasonal food and market price
  • Works by individual or family paying fee ahead and collecting bag of groceries at a later date

  • Fees:
    • $15 fee per month
    • No charge for Ontario Works (OW), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) and Old Age Security (OAS) clients
    • No charge for families with children ages birth - 6 years and pregnant women
    Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Members of Biigtigong Nishnaabeg
    Application:
    • To register for program contact Diabetes Coordinator at the Health Centre
    • Fee must be paid at Band Office (Reception) the first Friday of the month

    • Receipt is issued which must be dropped off at Health Centre

    • Pick-up date is advertised in community newsletter or call Health Centre
