Description of Services: Responsible for emergency fire and rescue service to the community
  • Provides fire prevention services including inspection and investigation
  • Provides public fire education services
Provides the following services:
  • Structural fire fighting including rescue
  • Grass, brush and forestry fire fighting
  • First response, tiered response and ambulance assistance
  • Response to vehicle accidents including extrication services
  • Hazardous material response
  • Response to transportation incidents involving vehicles, trains, aircraft and water craft
  • Performs water and ice rescue
  • Performs high angle rescue
  • Performs confined space rescue
  • Participates in community emergency service plan
  • Assistance to public, public utilities and police

Residency Requirements:
  • Extrication and medical assist in crashes extend: East to Seine River, North on Hwy 502 midway to Dryden, North on Hwy 71 to Kenora as far as Pine Lake, West to junction of Hwy 11/71 in Emo

  • Fire suppression and medical services only within town of Fort Frances
