Description of Services: NorWest Community Health Centres Walk-in Clinic services are for rostered clients of NWCHC, or those with no primary care provider, ONLY. If clients do have a primary care provider within the city, they will be asked to utilize that service instead, at the first available opportunity, for non-emergency care needs
  • Drop in only
  • Note: Long wait times can be expected and controlled substances cannot be prescribed nor refilled through the walk-in clinic

Offers a walk-in clinic focused on family and community health; serves clients on a first come first served basis with no appointment required
Provides treatment and assistance for the following:
  • Coughs and cold
  • Fever
  • Ear ache
  • Sore throat
  • Infection
  • Pregnancy testing
  • Sexual health
  • Birth control
  • Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) and HIV testing
  • Stitches and suture removal for minor cuts
  • Hepatitis and tuberculosis (TB) testing

Fees: Most services covered by OHIP
Eligibility - Population(s) Served:
  • Individuals who need medical care for minor illnesses and injuries

  • Must have valid Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) card
