Description of Services:
Responsibilities of the Clerk are:
  • Maintains vital statistics for the municipality
  • Acts as Commissioner of Oaths
  • Acts as Chief Returning Officer for Municipal and School Board elections
  • Signs by-laws, contracts, deeds, transfers, leases and other legal documents on behalf of the Municipality
  • Maintains the Records Management Program
  • Acts as Municipal Freedom of Information and Privacy Coordinator for the Corporation
  • Oversees the municipality's insurance and vehicle licensing and property and risk management programs
