Program: Mental Health Counselling

Organization: Dryden Area Family Health Team
Description of Services: Promotes the development of good mental health and provides services for individuals with mental health issues
Provides counselling and information for the following issues:
  • Chronic disease management including coping skills and depression
  • Communication concerns
  • Emotional eating (not disorders)
  • Family conflict, divorce, separation and blended family issues
  • Life issues that affect individuals and/or families such as but not limited to bullying, caregiver support, injury/illness, job loss and relocation
  • Relationship issues
  • Smoking cessation
  • Stress management (individual and group counselling sessions)

Fees: None; Most services covered by OHIP
Eligibility - Population(s) Served:
  • Individuals 16 years of age and older struggling with issues that affect mental health wellness

  • Children and youth younger than 18 years of age can call the Outreach Worker for services
