Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities

Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:
- Community members conduct most shopping and business affairs in the city of Kenora which is within close proximity to Wauzhushk Onigum
- Child and Family Services worker on-reserve provided through Anishinaabe Abinooji Family Services in Kenora
- Hospital and ambulance services available at Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora
- Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements through Treaty #3 Police
- Fire Prevention Services offered by Anishinaabeg of Kabapikotawangag Resource Council; ph 807-226-4445 Ext 224, fireprevention@akrc.on.ca
- Also contracts fire protection services from the City of Kenora Fire and Emergency Services
- Hosts the annual Honouring Our Children traditional powwow at the Wauzhushk Onigum owned Pow Wow Island
- Owns and operates the on-reserve Golden Eagle Casino & Gaming Centre
- Offers the Anishinabe of Wauzhushk First Nation Public Library
- Coordinates health care and health programs at the Wauzhushk Onigum Medical Clinic
- Administers Kinew Child Care Centre
