Description of Services:
  • Assists seniors to live independently in the community through the provision of nourishing meals at a reasonable cost
  • Coordinates with Community Health Representative and Cook to deliver homemade meals five days per week to individual's homes, suitable for diabetics, but may request meals for those on special diets
  • Meals are delivered by a volunteer who provides regular social contact and checks on the health and safety of the client

  • Fees: None
    Eligibility - Population(s) Served:
    • Members of Seine River First Nation

    • Individuals who are considered elders and live alone or individuals who have had recent surgery or medical conditions which require assistance
    Application:
    • Requires initial assessment with Home and Community Care Nurse who visits community every Tue

    • Needs are then determined with Community Health Representative and Nurse
