Description of Services:	Responsible for fire protection and prevention, and administration of the Ontario Fire Code Fire protection provided by Lake Helen Volunteer Fire Department with assistance from Nipigon Fire Department Issues applicable burn permits required for brush piles, incinerators and open fires, excluding campfires Practises regular standardized training modules and members also attend external training opportunities Maintains a fire hall, equipment, one pumper truck and a rapid attack vehicle Provides the following services: Education programs including smoke alarms, fire extinguishers and fire/fall protection for Elders Emergency planning Fire investigation Fire suppression Hazardous materials information Home safety which includes ensuring all homes are equipped with smoke alarms and charged fire extinguishers
