  • Individuals 16 years of age and older with varying degrees of physical disabilities OR

  • Individuals living with a family and require some attendant assistance OR

  • Seniors 60 years of age and older who require support services

Description of Services:
Provides personal assistance (attendant services) to individuals with disabilities in all areas of daily living activities in their own homes
  • Encourages consumers to achieve and maintain maximum independence and to assume total responsibility for governing their life
  • Develops service plans with an individual and sets up a schedule according to their plan
Support provided in the following areas:
Personal Skills
  • Banking and shopping
  • Dressing/undressing
  • Exercises (physiotherapy and motion exercises)
  • Housekeeping
  • Laundry
  • Meal preparation
  • Personal hygiene
  • Transferring
Management Skills
  • Managing personal finances
  • Hiring, scheduling and managing personal Attendant
  • Using community resources
  • Maintaining a reasonable state of health
