Description of Services:

Operates a volunteer fire department

Responsible for fire prevention and administration of the Ontario Fire Code
Issues applicable burn permits required for brush piles, incinerators and open fires, excluding campfires
Provides fire safety and prevention education
Vehicle extrication on a 100 kilometer stretch of the TransCanada Highway
Provides ground search and rescue for lost individuals, such as berry pickers and hunters
Provides free home fire safety inspections for residents, and will install smoke detectors if requested
