Transportation Program

  • Must call at least 24 hours ahead to make arrangements
Eligibility / Target Population
  • Urban Indigenous people 50 years of age and older

  • Individuals who are disabled, chronically ill and/or have special needs


Transportation Program: Priority given for medical appointments

Description of Services:
Provides culturally appropriate and holistic long term support services and programs including the following:
  • Access to community supports
  • Assistance to coordinate medical appointments
  • Congregate dining
  • Cultural programs
  • Home visits
  • Physical fitness
  • Referrals and advocacy
  • Social activities
Transportation Program
  • Provides transportation on an as needed basis to all events at the Centre, the hospital or clinic and for errands around town including grocery shopping
  • Arranges transportation for out of town specialist appointments when no other arrangements are available
