Description of Services: Provides access to psychological and psychiatric services through video conferencing
  • Coordinates with Surrey Place Centre in Toronto through the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) to provide various clinical supports from a team consisting of a psychiatrist, a psychiatric nurse, psychologist, behaviour therapists, a speech language pathologist and an occupational therapist
  • Provides education, information, diagnoses, advice and referrals for medical issues
  • Eliminates the need to travel long distances to access psychological and psychiatric services
  • Video conferencing is also used for staff training and educational seminars

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: Individuals 18 years of age and older with an intellectual and/or developmental disability and their families
Application: All arrangements and requests for video conferences must be made with Access Coordinator
