  • Responsible for fire prevention and administration of the Ontario Fire Code
  • Issues applicable burn permits required for brush piles, incinerators and open fires, excluding campfires
  • Provides fire safety and prevention education
  • Vehicle extrication on a 100 kilometer stretch of the TransCanada Highway
  • Provides a variety of rescue, including ground-based, snowmobile-based and water and ice Rescue
  • Provides free home fire safety inspections for residents, and will install smoke detectors if requested
